So when we think about this, one major ingredient we LOVE to love on during the holiday season, is the wonderful spice called Turmeric! So, What Is Turmeric?

Turmeric, isolated from the root stems of the Curcuma plant, produce the bright, vibrant yellow colored spice. The active ingredient in turmeric -- also known as the component with the anti-inflammatory superpowers -- is curcumin. So we ask, why is this good for you?

Turmerics major claim to fame is the ability to calm inflammation in the body. Not all inflammation is bad, but when we experience more chronic, long term inflammation, that is when adding more turmeric can be a major win for helping to create more balance.

So, when is Turmeric the most helpful?

  • As a general pain reliever

How To Incorporate Into Your Diet

We certainly can take a supplement for turmeric, but adding it into the diet is a great way to get all of that anti-inflammatory goodness bathing the entire GI system.

Turmeric Chai Coconut Maple Latte

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Cup Full Fat Coconut Milk

  • 2 Tsp Almond or Non Dairy Milk

  • 1/3 Cup Water

  • 2 Tsp Maple Syrup

  • 2 Tsp Jahmu Turmeric Chai Blend
